Model: REPur VN/M (Mains power supply – weighs 1.5 to 3 kg*)
Mains electricity must be regularly available. The ideal, inexpensive method of providing cheap high quality water to a central point in a small community where mains electricity is regularly available. Remember that this can be water that has been contaminated by septic/sewer/industrial/mining activities, as well as containing quantities of clay/mud. Note that this is a manual process – someone has to fill the container, press the button and open the tap to drain out the water. It is also very suitable if you wish to clean up the very poor quality tap water supplied to your community.
Model: REPur VN/S (Solar panel plus battery pack weighs ≈ 15 kg, 2 metre sq single crystal array*)
It is the ideal method of providing good quality water to a central point in a small community where mains electricity is not available. No longer does a small community with poor quality water have to wait for other services to be supplied – they can be self-sufficient as long as there is some non saline water available. The solar panel will only recharge the battery pack at the rate of about 1,000 litres per day. Note that this is a manual process – someone has to fill the container, press the button and open the tap to drain out the water.
Model: REPur VB/A (Automotive electrical outlet – weighs less than 100 gms)
For emergency relief during times of flood or other natural disasters in urban or rural regions. As long as you can get a vehicle there, be it a 4 wheel drive or off road bike (or even a boat), you can get this package weighing less than 15 litres of water to give you over 1.000 litres of cleaned disinfected water per day. And this is even if the water was contaminated by burst sewer mains or a light industrial/mining spillage, eg a tailings dam has broken, spilling cyanide contaminated water into the river.
Model: RECla VB/G (Small petrol electric generator with 5 litre petrol canister – weighs less than 10 kg.
This is a great emergency relief package for use during times of flood or natural disasters in urban or rural regions. This package weighing less than 25 litres of water could be used to produce over 1,000 litres of crystal clear drinking water per day, for several days, longer if there is more petrol available. The instructions are easy to follow, so as long as the populace can start the motor, they can get several thousand litres of crystal clear disinfected water over a few days –enough to save many lives. Remember that it doesn’t matter if the water has been affected by spillages of septic/sewer/mining/industrial pollutants, or has arsenate or cyanide in it.
*Specifications may vary with available product in different regions.
† Longer life if the water is less turbid, shorter if more turbid or contains chemical/ industrial/mining/septic/sewer pollutants.
