The electronic treatment of water can be used to both capture the pollutants and disinfect the water.  It also liberates gas bubbles and under the right circumstances, these can float the captured pollutants to the surface, leaving the water crystal clear.   Dr Vivian Robinson and his team at Research Water Pty Ltd have developed a way of combining all these properties into small, light weight, portable systems that can fulfil all the goals of treating water at any turbidity, removing a wide array of chemical pollutants and disinfecting the water.  All of this is available at the press of a button.
 
Research Water announces its range of Electronic Water Clarifiers and Electronic Water Purifiers.  A complete system consists of a container, a plate set, the electronics controller and a power supply.  It uses so little electricity that a 200 grams rechargeable battery pack could clean some 40 litres of quite muddy water (200 NTU) before the batteries needed recharging. THE RESULT IS PORTABLE LIGHTWEIGHT SYSTEMS THAT CAN CLEAN POLLUTED WATER TO A BETTER QUALITY THAN WOULD BE OBTAINED BY CONVENTIONAL LARGE SCALE TREATMENT PLANTS IF THEY TREATED THE SAME WATER. What else would you expect from a modern electronics based technology?
 
Our Electronic Clarifiers remove about 99% of the physical pollutants such as mud/clay/dirt as well bacteria, parasites and other pathogens.  They are unaffected by the initial starting turbidity, it can be in excess of 2,000 NTU, and will get it to below 1 NTU if required.  And even our smallest unit will do this for many thousands of litres.  Our electronic disinfection means a bacteria reduction of over 99.9% - it being larger the longer the water is allowed to stand.  
 
The Electronic Purifiers remove the same physical pollutants as the Clarifiers as well as a whole range of other pollutants.  These include:-
Chemicals such as arsenic, arsenate, cyanide, phosphate and more
Heavy metals such as lead, mercury, uranium, iron, cadmium and more
Soap and other large organic molecules, such as proteins, decaying animal and vegetable matter, as well as many natural dye molecules, tannins and similar colouring agents.
Algae (it has not been tested on algal toxins)
It also liberates and removes emulsified fats, oils and greases and some hydrocarbons.
 
As well as removing all these additional pollutants, the Purifier has a high kill rate for much greater pathogen destruction.  An E-coli destruction rate of greater than 99.99999% is easily achieved.  
 
Operation of these Electronic Clarifiers and Purifiers is very simple.  Connect the power supply and plate set to the electronics control box.  Rest the container on a suitable flat surface and fill it with water.  Insert the plates into the container, and press the button.  When the pollutant has separated out, the electronics turn off.  Wait for a few minutes, then open the tap and remove the cleaned and disinfected water.  Instructions for use are given on the outside of the container.  See below for the example of the Personal Clarifier.  The instructions for the other Clarifier models and for the Purifiers are equally simple.
